Vista Caller-ID 1.0.4 BETA Now Available!
Many new features, improvements and enhancements have found their way into the new version of Vista Caller-ID. But given the complexity and ambiguous standards in the PC industry, it is impossible to duplicate the myriad of configurations that exist in the real world.

Vista Caller-ID MCE Beta1 period has ended!
Thank you sincerely for your participation and your support. While the Beta is done, it won’t be long before you can enjoy Vista Caller-ID 1.0.4 featuring integrated media center and v2 extender support; improved desktop caller id and notification system, call logging and of course plenty of bug fixes; all in one great application!
We are planning to share some exciting updates. Stay tuned, we promise it will be worth the wait.
Thank you!
Caller-ID MCE Beta Refresh Coming Soon!
We’re doing our best to build the most reliable and user-friendly Vista Caller-ID Media Center Edition out there but all our ideas and testing will never compare to the feedback we get from our users.
Beta1 feedback checklist:
a) Correct area code set under phone/modem options under control panel?
b) Did Vista Caller-ID desktop edition work correctly?
c) Did Vista Caller-ID desktop edition auto detect your modem, or did you have to explicitly select it?
If the answer to any of the above is “NO” then most likely Vista Caller-ID MCE Beta1 will not work correctly for you. Note: The custom install path is for future use; the core assemblies get installed to the “c:\windows\ehome” directory and global assembly cache respectively.
Upon successful installation and Media Center launch, a small success dialog will be presented in the top right corner. If you get this dialog popup but you do not get any caller id notifications then your modem device was not auto detected. (In this case please uninstall and wait for the beta refresh)
Feel free to tell us what you liked, didn’t like and what you would like to see added. We’ll do our best to continue to make VC-ID and VC-ID MCE better and better.
We try to respond to all feedback. Please include an email address so we can reply. We will not share your email address with anyone.
