So far Vista Caller-ID 1.0.3 has worked perfectly for me. Here’s a couple suggestions that would make it even better…

    1. client PC application (so other PCs on my home network can display incoming calls)

    2. log calls to a single archive file (.txt, .csv, .tsv, whatever)

    3. future interface with Outlook contacts

Add support for Bluetooth handset’s caller id off cell phones. Many of us have permently cut the $40/month cord.

The software looks great, but like Steve I would like it to be able to match the phone number with my Outlook contacts when no name is sent. Also a way to hide the system tray icon (and maybe a shortcut in the Start Menu so you can still get to the settings) would be nice, so it doesn’t clutter up my system tray. Great job and I’m looking forward to the Media Center plugin.

Bluetooth support would be fantastic. Like jeff said above, alot of people are not using landline anymore.

I’ve been looking for an app that could do bluetooth caller id for almost a year now. Macs can do it, but I seriously think no such application currently exists for PC. You guys could really corner the market with one. ;)

Even more impressive would be if it integrated with Media Center.

That was supposed to say Media Center extenders. Oops!

great product although the version i got didn’t have the ok button to make the popup disappear but other than that it’s great i was surprised to find out that my pc along with the modem and vista home premium support caller-id the software and the info from the phone company

Looks like an awesome product but all i have is a cell phone. I, like a few people here, have been looking for a cell phone caller id app that uses bluetooth for a LONG time. I see in the config it selects the right connection but nothing happens.

Any chance on going open source?

Thanks for the great, free product!

I agree with several of the other people. This sounds like a great piece of software but I no longer have a landline. If this worked with the Hands-Free Protocol over Bluetooth, it would be perfect. OS-X can do it and it would be great if Vista had this capability too.

What a great program! I installed version 1.0.7 and the WHS addin. Everything worked right away and as advertised. Only had one problem, I would change certain settings and I noticed that they were not taking effect. I do not shut down my computer often, so the Caller ID program did not get a chance to restart. Simply exiting the program from the sys tray and then restarting it was answer. My wife now wants the program installed on her computer so she can keep records of phone calls for her home business. Keep up the great work!
