Extra!! Extra!! HEAR all about it (introducing Talking Caller ID)
We have listened to your feedback and have added over a dozen new improvements and features. We are excited to announce that the new upcoming version of Vista Caller-ID will feature a redesigned easy to use interface to create an engaging and productive experience. An addition that we are especially proud of is the commonly requested Talking Caller ID feature to verbally announce caller information using speech synthesis (TTS).

Great news! How long do we have to wait for the release?

I’m anxiously awaiting the release. Any update on 1.0.4? I read a message from the admin stating it would be released by October 24th (or specifically ‘trying hard to release it to the public within the next week’ - dated October 17th). I’m fighting my 12 years of development (6 of which in .Net) urges to crank a simple caller id widget out myself in short order. A good excuse to learn the new Vista MCE SDK!

Unfortunately I got sidetracked with other projects – I admit it and I apologize; but that said we are planning to release the new version this week as a public beta and another update over the holidays.
It takes some time to ensure a certain quality and reliability but it will be worth the wait – I promise!

A TSS Version would be welcome with recommendations on Vista FAX/Voice/CallerID modems.
