I just got my USB modem in (Creative Blaster V.92 USB DE5671-1) and thought i’d give it a try on my laptop which has Windows XP Media Center Edition.
After installing the modem drivers and installing your program, I do not get a pop-up for an incoming call.
When looking at the log for my modem after installing your app and giving myself a couple of test calls i can see the log getting the caller id information (it gets the time, number, and gets the number of times the phone is ringing as well)…but your app does not pop up the caller id information.
If you can provide any help that would be appriciated, as i plan on installing this USB modem on my home HTPC which has Vista Ultimate.
Thanks

Does this release include Media Center integration?
Is it possible to use a contact database other than Outlook?

@fatal - check your email
@brian - No, the current version 1.0.5 focuses on multi-device and multi-line support and enhanced telephony / modem support. We feared that any Media Center Integration at this point would likely further add to the error pool and make it more difficult to improve upon the base architecture.
However, we remain committed to Windows Media Center and our next milestones focal point will be MCE Integration.
Currently MS Outlook is the only available data store (in terms of synchronization) –We realize that not everyone has Outlook installed or configured hence, Windows Vista Contacts has been suggested numerous times and we are testing this. (Outlook COM is rather slow and failure prone)

Will it be possible to run this as a service so it will still process calls (and show on a Media Center Extender) without having a user account logged in? This would be a great feature.

I did not see and answer to Brian’s question posted above. Does 1.05 beta support Vista media center. Will it have a pop-up inside vista media center?

Vista Media Center support is not included in Vista Caller-ID 1.0.5 Beta.

Hi!
Thank you so much for this. There is just one thing I wonder, YAC support? I got a server on which my modem is connected to and then I got my workstation and my MediaCenter and I would like to get the same callerid info on those two as on the server. On the server I already run YAC and that can send out callerid info to clients. It works for me right now but YAC is not as cool as yours

YAC works fine on my vista premium workstation, but 1.05 beta does not. Is there anything I can provide to help debug this?

I was able to get the 1.05 beta to work after exiting the program, configuring the correct area code, and restarting the program. This is a really nice piece of software!
