Hi,
I’ve tried installing VistaCallerId on Vista Ultimate 64 but as soon it’s finished installing the software crashes. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same problem occurs everytime.

Vista Caller-ID is a native 32bit application; it will work on some 64bit machines depending on drivers but it has not been designed to take advantage of 64bit technology so that even if your telephone device drivers are in native 64bit with caller-id support (which I doubt) the Vista Caller-ID application would still run in 32* mode. – Initially we planned on compiling a 64bit version but the lack of 64bit telephony-support does leave much to be desired.

Microsoft no longer supports/provides HyperTerminal in Vista, and referenced site not responding.
Latest Vista Caller-Id does not announce caller.

Unfortunately the free personal use download of HyperTerminal Private Edition has been discontinued by them; but it appears to be still available here: ftp://www.hilgraeve.com/htpe/
Look for: htpe63.exe

History now shows CallerID info. May have had conflict with Vista’s Phone Dialer. Now testing speech annoucements.
Would prefer History to auto appear on icon click with added features: 1) click to dial missed calls with Vista Phone Dialer, 2) answering machine options, 3) caller blocking capabilities.
This could be a great Vista Phone tool if all phone functions were handled.

Looks like a lot of comment history was lost recently. Hope the code loss wasn’t significant. Any news on the 1.08 fix?
