The Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in is designed specifically for Windows Home Server networks that include one or more Vista Caller-ID client machines.

The Add-in integrates with the Windows Home Server Console in perfect synergy and allows Vista Caller-ID clients to easily save Caller ID information on the Windows Home Server, which makes browsing and managing your Caller ID history from any PC on your network a breeze.

Installing the Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in on Windows Home Server (WHS)
Follow these steps to install the Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in on your Windows Home Server system and add it to the Windows Home Server Console:

  1. Place the Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in installation file (VistaCallerIDWHS.msi) into the shared Add-in folder that is accessible to the Windows Home Server system (\\[SERVERNAME]\Software\Add-Ins).

  2. Open the Windows Home Server Console by double-clicking the appropriate shortcut on your Windows Home Server desktop or the Windows Home Server Console connector on your client pc.

  3. Click Settings to open the Windows Home Server Settings Console.

  4. Click Add-ins in the task pane on the left side of the Windows Home Server Settings Console and then click the Available tab in the Available Add-ins area. You will see the Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in listed as an available Add-in.

  5. Click Install to install the Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in. After the installation is complete, it is necessary to close the Windows Home Server Console.

  6. When you restart the Windows Home Server Console, you will see a new toolbar icon for Vista Caller-ID. Click this icon to open Vista Caller-ID WHS Add-in within the console.
