Does this beta work for anyone? The non-MCE app works on my machine, but this MCE app doesn’t. I uninstalled the non-MCE version before installing the MCE version.
I don’t see any way to configure the MCE version. Did I miss something?

Doesn’t work for me either. The installer appears to work, but the c:\program files\kentdome\vistacalleridmce (or whatever) isn’t created and no files are placed.

The custom-install path i.e.
“c:\program files\kentdome\vistacalleridmce”
is currently for future use, i.e. addressbook syncing, caller log files etc. These features are presently not available in this beta version. In reality the installer installs its assemblies to “c:\windows\ehome”
If one gets the Vista Caller-ID loaded status upon launch but there is no Caller-ID noticiation, then most likely your hardware was not auto detected. – more on this shortly

I also have the issue where the older non_MCE version works like a champ for me (automatically detected my modem and did not have to modify anything for it to work). I un-installed that version and installed the MCE Beta version. I got the “caller-id installed” pop-up when I started Vista MCE but nothing happened when a call came in… Any updates here? I have yet to find a caller-id program that works within Vista MCE.

Hi, I installed the MCE beta version and was able to see incoming calls in V MCE. However, the “Vista Caller-ID Loaded” screen pops up everytime I relaunch Media Center. Is there a way to supress this so it just launches in the background?
Thanks for your work with this tool.
